The excellence of Master PAC relies on a multi-level scientific collaboration, from local laboratories to European universities, through industrial partners and world-known research facilities. Each institution thrives on understanding the complexity of chemical and physical systems, developing state-of-the-art techniques backed by rare instrumentation tools.
Local scale
In Lille 1 University, the Department of Chemistry develops a wide variety of research activities, part of which are at the interface with other major fields: strong cooperation exist with the Departments of Physics and Biology. The labs involved in Master PAC's program are mostly CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) quality accredited laboratories whose themes of research cover all specialities of the discipline: Catalysis, Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry, Solid State chemistry, Metallurgy and Materials, Combustion Processes, Infrared and Raman Spectrochemistry.
Regional scale
The second year specialty Atmospheric Environment is supported by the Labex CaPPA project, whose ambition is to transform the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region into a research centre of excellence in Physics and Chemistry of the Atmosphere. The Labex CaPPA gathers 7 laboratories: PC2A, LASIR, PhLAM, LOA, ICARE (Lille 1 University), LPCA (ULCO University, Dunkirk) and SAGE (Mines Douai).
As for the Conseil Régional des Hauts-de-France, it supports international graduate programs towards mobility scholarships for students wishing to carry out their research internship abroad.
